| Truth B Told 3.29.07: Wrestlemania Hype Machine
Dont believe the hype, there is only one true Main Event at Wrestlemania this year, and youd be surprised which match it is. If you said Khali vs Kanego sit in the corner. It's been called the "Grandest stage of them all", Wrestlemania weekend is arguably the biggest weekend in all of wrestling, and definitely the biggest in "Sports Entertainment". Hell, even the IWC's anti-WWE Messiah Fed runs a "Super Card" based on providing RoHbots and anti-"e" fans with the best alternative they can to Diva matches and the Great Khali. "All Star Extravaganza III" on March 30th and "Supercard Of Honor II" on March 31st in Detroit is shaping up to be a better show in terms of wrestling and talent. There, I said it, argue if you will, but Ashley, Great Khali, Lashley, and MVP are enough to ensure that WM23 will in no way get as many **** matches as the double shot from RoH.
Case closed on Papelbon
Boston Globe baseball writer Gordon Edes checks in every week (usually on Thursdays or Fridays) to answer your questions on the Red Sox. Ask yours now, and come back next week to see if it was answered. Gordon, I was thinking about the Sox re-inserting Papelbon as the closer. Will this be a long term decision? How will this affect the long term development of prospects like Craig Hansen and Bryce Cox, who are considered heirs apparent for the closer's job? Would the Sox consider converting either of them into starters if they keep "Pap" as the closer? Or would Hansen and Cox continue as relievers to someday replace Timlin and strengthen the pen while getting younger at the same time? I feel it would be most beneficial to the squad to only keep "Pap" as a closer until one of the youngsters is ready to take over that role, then put him back into the rotation.
Danny Boyle Talks Up 'Slum Dog' Details
Almost all of the films directed by Danny Boyle deal with some kind of get rich scheme. Sometimes, as in Shallow Grave and Millions, the money comes by accident. Other times, like in The Beach and A Life Less Ordinary, they involve failed attempts to illegally make some dough. It's been awhile since I've seen it, so I really can't remember how the robbery in Trainspotting goes, but it's there even if the main deal of that movie is getting high, not rich. As for 28 Days Later, and I'm guessing the upcoming Sunshine, there is no wealth to be had, but Boyle's next film, Slum Dog Millionaire, which has been scripted by The Full Monty writer Simon Beaufoy, will again be dealing with a large sum of money. As we told you a few weeks ago, Boyle is already in pre-production on Slum Dog, which we only knew involves a true story about a boy from the slums of Mumbai who wins big on India's version of Who Wants to Be a Millionaire.
Fantasy Source Expert Chris Bahr
The Giants and Padres finally decided to play a game Tuesday, meaning every MLB team has at least one win or loss. Because it's so early on the baseball calendar, we're sure to see some wild swings from anxious hitters and in fantasy league standings (but hopefully none reminiscent to Brett Myers' last year). By now, surely, you know not to panic this early in the season. And it already applies to such pitchers as Carlos Zambrano, Jose Contreras, Curt Schilling, Chris Carpenter, Scott Kazmir, Erik Bedard, Brandon Webb and even Johan Santana, who were all roughed up in their debuts. Some of these guys looked more like emergency fifth starters than aces. There's nothing you can do but shrug it off and be patient. Like allergy season and your next-door neighbor cutting the grass in his boxers and black socks, it unfortunately happens every April.
